Terms of Service

Terms of Service for CVF Web Services, including project scope, payments, revisions, support, third-party costs, SEO expectations, and client responsibilities.

Important: This page is intended to provide clear practical website terms and privacy information. It is not a substitute for legal advice from an attorney.

Acceptance of terms

By using CVFWebServices.com, submitting a project request, contacting CVF Web Services, or engaging website-related services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If a separate written agreement, invoice, proposal, or project scope applies, that document may add to or control specific project details.

Services and scope

CVF Web Services may provide custom website design, starter websites, redesigns, page updates, contact forms, landing pages, SEO visibility support, technical cleanup, sitemap and canonical checks, indexing support, content organization, online presence support, and more advanced custom work when accepted.

Every project depends on agreed scope. Services not clearly included in a package, quote, invoice, proposal, or written agreement are not automatically included.

Estimates, pricing, and third-party costs

Published pricing and package descriptions are general guidance and may change. Some projects require custom estimates based on complexity, timeline, content, integrations, hosting needs, support expectations, and third-party costs.

Domain registrations, hosting, premium domains, email accounts, plugins, stock assets, payment processors, subscriptions, software licenses, automation tools, third-party services, taxes, renewal fees, and similar costs may be separate unless specifically included in writing.

Client responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing accurate information, timely feedback, approvals, content, images, brand materials, access credentials when needed, legal rights to materials, and clear edit requests. Delays in client responses, content, approvals, payment, or access may delay the project.

Clients must not provide unlawful, infringing, defamatory, deceptive, malicious, abusive, or unauthorized material. Clients are responsible for claims, wording, offers, testimonials, images, trademarks, regulated statements, and other content they ask to publish.

Payments, refunds, and cancellation

Payment terms should be stated in the invoice, proposal, package, or written agreement. Work may be paused for late payment, missing deposits, chargebacks, unresolved scope issues, or lack of required information.

Because website work often involves time, planning, writing, setup, design, custom edits, and technical labor, payments may be non-refundable once work begins unless a written agreement says otherwise. Any refund, cancellation, or credit decision depends on the project stage, work completed, expenses incurred, and written terms.

Revisions and support

Revision rounds, edit requests, support windows, care plans, and maintenance are limited to what is agreed. Unlimited edits, unlimited calls, immediate response, after-hours support, and emergency support are not included unless specifically agreed in writing.

Scheduled phone or video review may be available when appropriate. Calls should be scheduled at mutually reasonable times and are intended to improve clarity, not replace written scope, approvals, or project management.

Domains, hosting, email, and access

CVF Web Services may assist with domains, hosting, DNS, email setup, or related tools, but ownership, billing, renewals, account access, and responsibility must be clear. Clients are responsible for maintaining accounts, renewals, passwords, payment methods, and legal ownership unless otherwise agreed.

Loss of domain names, hosting access, email accounts, third-party accounts, or data may occur if a client fails to renew, pay providers, maintain access, or follow provider rules.

SEO and visibility

SEO and visibility support are practical improvement services, not guarantees. No ranking, traffic, lead volume, revenue, donation level, search placement, indexing speed, or conversion result is guaranteed.

Search engines and social platforms use factors outside CVF Web Services’ control. Technical cleanup, useful content, internal links, sitemap coverage, metadata, canonical consistency, and indexing requests may improve the foundation but cannot guarantee specific outcomes.

Security and backups

CVF Web Services may perform reasonable technical checks or backups when appropriate, but no website can be guaranteed immune from outages, malware, hacking, software failure, third-party failures, user error, or data loss. Ongoing backup, security monitoring, updates, and maintenance require a clear support plan or provider arrangement.

Client content and intellectual property

Clients retain rights to content they own and provide. CVF Web Services retains rights to its pre-existing tools, processes, reusable code patterns, templates, methods, documentation, and know-how unless transferred in writing.

Final ownership or usage rights for custom deliverables should be understood from the project agreement. Third-party assets may remain subject to their own licenses.

Portfolio use

Unless otherwise agreed, CVF Web Services may identify public completed work in a portfolio, case study, service example, or site credit. Confidential information, passwords, private communications, and non-public project materials should not be disclosed without permission.

Refusal or termination of service

CVF Web Services may decline, pause, or terminate work involving abusive communication, illegal content, unsafe requests, misleading claims, unpaid invoices, repeated scope changes, missing information, technical impossibility, third-party restrictions, or projects outside its capabilities.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, CVF Web Services is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages, nor for third-party platform failures, search-engine decisions, provider outages, client account issues, lost renewals, client-provided content, or business decisions made from website performance.

Updates

These Terms may be updated as services, tools, business practices, pricing, or legal needs change. Questions may be sent to [email protected].

Logo and favicon inclusion

Website plans may include a practical custom logo design process based on client input, with 3 initial logo concept choices and one matching favicon for the website. Reasonable refinements to the selected concept may be included as part of the website project, but unlimited revisions, advanced illustration, mascot-style artwork, full brand-identity packages, trademark clearance, and specialized design requests are not included unless specifically agreed in writing.

Clients are responsible for confirming that names, slogans, marks, images, brand elements, and requested logo ideas do not violate another party's rights. CVF Web Services does not provide trademark, copyright, or legal clearance unless a qualified professional is separately engaged by the client.
